MY Story

Born and raised in sunny Marseille in a lively Italian-Corsican family, I’ve called London home since 2016.
I began my career as a film journalist and TV host, then decided watching movies wasn’t enough — I wanted to make them. So I co-founded La Fabrique de Films with Franck Ribière, producing and distributing independent horror films and thrillers (because who doesn’t love a good scare with subtitles?). Our film Inside, starring Béatrice Dalle and directed by Alexandre Bustillo & Julien Maury, carved its path across the globe, earning numerous awards and fans along the way. We hit the Cannes Film Festival red carpet with another of our productions: The Pack, featuring Émilie Dequenne, Benjamin Biolay and Yolande Moreau, directed by Franck Richard.
We also had the pleasure of working with the brilliantly eccentric Spanish director Álex de la Iglesia.
In 2012–2013, I co-wrote and edited the Netflix food documentary (S)TEAK REVOLUTION — a title that proves we take our meat, and our puns, seriously.
Later, I directed THE GODDESSES OF FOOD (À la recherche des femmes chefs), which premiered in cinemas in 2017 and traveled the festival circuit. Meeting these modern culinary heroines inspired me to take a stand against discrimination in professional kitchens and the wider food world.
That led to my book ELLES CUISINENT (Hachette France), spotlighting women cooking professionally across the globe, and CHEFFES, the first comprehensive database of French female chefs — or as one likes to call it, “The Michelin Guide meets feminism.”
More recently, I co-directed and co-edited RE-INVENTING MIRAZUR, a documentary about the celebrated chef Mauro Colagreco, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and aired on Canal+. Together with Franck Ribière, we co-produced the film through our UK company, Francologie Ltd.
Between films, I direct videos for the Michelin Guide, The World’s 50 Best, and chefs whose patience with cameras rivals their patience with soufflés.
When not filming, I write and photograph cookbooks — including TASTE THE WORLD IN MARSEILLE, my culinary love letter to the diversity of my hometown (now available in English thanks to Abrams Books and Alexis Steinman). My newest book, L’AFRIQUE CUISINE EN FRANCE, celebrates the creativity and cultural flavor of African chefs reshaping French cuisine.
I also contribute articles to magazines and newspapers on food, women chefs, and the social issues that shape the culinary world.
Along the way, I co-wrote the Netflix original thriller THE MOST ASSASSINATED WOMAN IN THE WORLD, directed by Franck Ribière. I even popped up on screen — because why not?
And now…I’m finally putting a fiction story on paper, with every intention of directing it myself.
